Domain holder verification

Domain is no longer accessible

Your domain is no longer accessible

What does this mean?

Your domain has been removed from the .de zone because the owner verification process was not completed in time. The website is no longer accessible, and e-mail addresses under this domain no longer work. However, the domain has not yet been deleted — you can reactivate it.

How much time do you have left?

From the date the domain is taken offline, you have 83 days to complete the verification process via your provider. After that, the domain contract will be terminated permanently and the domain will be released.

Subject: Verification of holder details for the domain [my-domain.de]

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have received a request from DENIC to verify the registration details for my domain [my-domain.de] by [date from DENIC e-mail]. My domain is already offline.

Please let me know what procedure you offer and what documents you require.

Kind regards

Carry out the procedure via your provider

As soon as your provider has successfully completed the verification process and submitted the details to DENIC,  your domain will be brought back online.

What happens once the 83 days are up?

Once the deadline has passed, the domain contract will be terminated. After a short grace period, the domain will be released and can then be re-registered — including by other persons. Direct restoration will then no longer be possible.
