Why is updating important?

As the domain owner, you are directly responsible for ensuring that all information stored is correct.

Incorrect or missing information may entitle DENIC to terminate the contract.

How to update your domain information

Report any changes to your provider promptly. Only your provider can forward the change request to DENIC. This ensures that your data remains protected and any technical consequences (e.g. in the case of name server changes) are automatically taken care of.

Download the update form and send it back to us once you have completed it.

DENICdirect will only accept the change if it bears a legally valid signature (owner or legal representative).

Check your changes using the domain query

After each update, please check that the data is correct by entering your postal code or email address in the form field provided. If the information is correct, you will receive a confirmation email with a temporary link to the requested data.
