In the second edition of the Awards granted by the Council of European National Top Level Domain Registries (CENTR), the international jury selected DENIC as the winner in the Security category.
On 7 October 2015, the who-is-who of the European Internet economy met at the Palais des Académies in Brussels to choose the winners of the CENTR Awards in the five categories Security, Research and Development, Marketing, CSR and Contributor of the Year.
DENIC's Information Security Officer Boban Krsic and his colleagues from Switzerland (SWITCH) and Austria (nic.at) were jointly awarded a prize for their cross-registry "collaboration on auditing their respective ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems". In this project, the three colleagues follow a cooperative approach which is characterized by a continuous exchange of informaton and mutual recommendations. Go to project presentation video.
CENTR is an international association of country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) registries, such as DENIC for .de. Organised as a not-for-profit company, CENTR supports the interests of the managers of the Top Level Domains. The CENTR Awards are designed to honor and promote innovation and provide a platform for committed staff to communicate and discuss best practices.
